February 1, 2011: Home again (for now)...

Heaveno!

Well, home at last, home at last, thank God almighty, I am home at last!

To watch Ali come running across the airport full speed and jump into my arms, to kiss Angelique's lips again, to hang out in our bed while Ali watches Sprout, to read her the Tangled storybook that I got for her on the trip... priceless moments.

It was a travel day through and through.  Luckily, we flew to and from two of the states in the country not under ice and snow!  Crazy.  Dean lives in central Florida in the winter and in Toronto in the summer.  70 degrees year round.  I get it.

Again, my thanks publicly to my friend Joe Polish.  There are so many things I learned this week, so many people I met, so many plans we made.  I feel ready to meet with the foundation this week and next.

Time for rest.

God night.

  1. Glorious.

    Glad you're home.

Fondly, as always, to you, Ang, Ali and Bella,

PS I think Egypt may be forging a new and wonderful future for herself. I'm glad, however, that you weren't an unwitting participant. You have other fish to fry, as my granny once said!

  6. I love Bellas picture! Love, love, love. :)

I am so happy you made it home safely. Continued safe travel thoughts as you head to MN. I will be sending Joe Polish a thank you for all that he has done for you and the fight of EB!

I think when you are in MN you should try making homemade snow ice cream. Not sure what it tastes like...we will be making it this afternoon for the first time. Everyone should at least try it once. :) I will post a recipe for you later...depending on taste. ;)

Sending my love to all and sweet kisses to Ali.
