March 28, 2011: The results are back...

Heaveno!

Here is the shirt I wore on Saturday to a few birthday parties...



We found out Friday afternoon.  Angelique walks in the door from her business trip and hands me this BEAUTIFUL (not) postcard from Texas, and says, "Turn it over..."



... and this is what it read...



We are beyond blessed and relieved.  Thank you for all your prayers, intentions, thoughts, wishes, etc.  While it doesn't ease the pain looking back one bit, it eases the worry a hundred fold looking forward.  There is a little more to it; Julian is a carrier, like Ali.  Having said all this, I can't wait to pinch that little guy and find out for myself.  No offense, science, but the final sigh of relief will come when I am holding him in my arms... safely.

Next post, I'll have to tell you what Bella told me about the whole thing back in January...

    AWESOME. Finding out he is EB free brought tears to my eyes. I know you're still going to worry some until he gets here. I'm the same way. I have to see something for myself before I can completely stop worrying. But I know the results bring some relief. So happy for all of you!

    So...when I got my Team Bella video, it was after 10:00 when I finally watched it. My family was sleeping...you were probably sleeping.
    I seriously wanted to drive to your house to hug you all.
    And, then. I just couldn't sleep. Seriously.
    Like a 5 year old on Christmas Eve...I was filled with joy.
    And the tears just spilled...
    I don't even remember what you said in your video, hope it wasn't that important, because I only focused on your shirt.

    I know God has a plan.

    Knowing families with multiple EB babies, I was a little apprehensive and worried for you. But when you announced the pregnancy this is what I figured: This child would be EB free because Bella was sent to you so you could help cure EB. Therefore, this child would be EB free.

    I didn't pray for an EB free baby for you. I don't believe my desires, ideas and plans are greater than God's. I prayed that you would accept and rejoice in his plan for you. I thanked him for sending you a child.

    I can now pray prayers of thanksgiving. Praise God!

    I am delighted, tickled and thrilled for your family. :-)
