August 2, 2011: Weee! This thing called life!

Heaveno!

Thank you all!  Your comments were so sweet.  Thank you.

P.S.  Michelle, email me at Timothy@puckfund.org.  I don't know how to reach you!  Thanks!

Tonight, I held a free tele-seminar for music therapists to teach the business principles we don't get in our schooling.  It was so much fun!  I love coaching, and I love music therapy, and to get to support and coach music therapists to be more confident, more successful, man that just lights me UP!

The rhythm of my weeks has really been enjoyable lately.  I work in my office on Mondays, go to the hospital on Tuesdays, coach my coaching clients from home on Wednesdays, back to the hospital on Thursdays, back in my office working for PUCK on Fridays.  Angelique works at her office on Mon/Wed/Fri and works out of my office on Tue/Thu.  This allows someone to work from home every day of the week.  We are really grateful to not have to be in the same place two days in a row!  Keeps things fun and fresh.

Of course, that rhythm is about to change yet again, and this is the rhythm of life... change.  Perhaps the greatest suffering in life is relating to change as something that can be either resisted, avoided, thwarted, or bypassed.   If change is ubiquitous, why are we 'creatures of habit?'  I find that perplexing.  I always laugh at this conundrum.  I think of Melman in Madagascar when he screams, "AHH NATURE!  GET IT OFF ME!"  I think people relate to change like, "AHH CHANGE!  GET IT OFF ME!"  LOL.

I was just having lunch with two colleagues reminding them that one month from now, the happy grin on my face will be replaced by the flat affect of sleep deprivation.  I wanted them to know when they see me, if I don't beam like I was today, it'll be due to the sweet baby in the nest at home.

It is so worth it.

I'll tell you what, one of the things I love about this whole process, is the idea of Bella and Julian chilling together in heaven talking about the three of us down here... Bella giving Baby J all the details about us.

What's a big sister for?  He's lucky, man.  He gets a big sis in heaven to prep him into life, and a big sis down here to walk with him through life.  How cool is that?  What a cool dude.

Alright.  Gotta run.  Much love to you all.  So much love.

God night.

  1. Hi Tim,
Someone showed me this video recently and I was wondering if this might be something that would help EB patients. It is meant for burn patients, but is very similar to the stem cell transplant idea, but a less invasive and less dangerous approach. Might help heal those nasty EB wounds much faster and help prevent infection. Check it out...Would love to know what you think about it!

  2. Tim and Angelique ...

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing Bella with me (and to the rest of the world)! Your sweet girl has changed my life in so many ways, multiple times. The most recent being last night. I re-read the blog post that was written the day Bella earned her wings and then the following couple of days. Bella's life spoke a new story to me that I really can't explain yet. I do know, however, that I'm going to live my life to the fullest with ZERO regrets, thanks to Bella.

The picture today of Bella is so sweet. Man do I miss that girl!

I can't even imagine the fun times Bella and Baby J are having right now. You are so right, he is one lucky little dude!

I really debated on whether I should post today and I hope I didn't go too far.

I continue to pray for you both, Ali, and Baby Julian!

    Love and Prayers,
    Meg from WV

P.S. Just curious if you had read "Heaven is for Real?" It's a wonderful book that puts you right in the middle of Heaven. I highly recommend it!

  4. What a great thought, right? I can see Bella being like "Ok, so here is what you need to remember with Daddy, Mommy, and Ali.." and Julian's like "GOT IT SIS, I gotta get this show on the road before Mommy can't take it any longer!"

My heart goes out to you all today!
    Much love right back!
    Amanda
