November 11: One Month Later

Heaveno!

Greetings from Los Angeles! Well, technically I think I'm in West Hollywood right now, but I'm not sure. So real quick summary of the day:

This morning at 2 am it dawns on me that I never RSVP'd to the charity ball for Angelique! Just slipped my mind and now it's the day of the ball. I freak out and write Joe's amazing assistant Eunice begging for clemency and for Ang to be let in.

This morning at 6:15 am I get a call from a very groggy Joe saying that I actually was never invited to the charity ball, just to his two day event. The ball costs $2500 a ticket, and he is having to pay for all his office staff as is and doesn't wanna plunk down $5,000 so Angelique and I can go, as much as he loves us!

Now, that's a little embarrassing. What happened was Eunice sent me the email everyone else who paid to go to Joe's event got, which included the VIP invitation to the ball. She didn't realize she had accidentally invited me! Oops. With the unbelievable amount of tasks, requests, and demands my misfit friend Joe hurtles at her, she is more than excused! LOL.

Frankly, it took a few minutes to get over, but I was relieved I wasn't going because I am pretty beat and really didn't have the energy for such a large scale event. Instead, I met with a wonderful music therapy colleague, Kalani, and we enjoyed the heck out of a nice 2.5 hour dinner together laughing and talking about all sorts of subjects from the sublime to the just plain ridiculous. Kalani and I only get to hang out maybe once or twice a year, so this made me happy that he was in town and free! Kalani travels a fair bit teaching and speaking, so you never know what country he'll be in when you are trying to track him down!

Today's seminar was AMAZING! I got to meet some of the world's most influential and successful information marketers and entrepreneurs. These ladies and gentlemen are just that; they are a class act. They have collectively raised over $3,000,000 for Sir Richard's Virgin Unite Foundation. They are really teaching me all the good things you can do with money....

Like this...

Get this one; Sir Richard is in the process of building and organizing a new Center for Disease Control for the entire African continent! The US has one, Europe has one, Africa does not! Well, not for long at least. What a stud. I shared my story with a few people today and they were pretty sad and impressed at the same time.

Okay, gotta keep this short as I managed to leave my power cord at home. Nice. I also killed the camera battery and my ipod battery today. I'm battin' 1.000!

I have to tell you that as I told my story to several people, they were just devastated and captivated by the experience and the positive attitude I was maintaining.

I am intending that I get some time tomorrow to speak and play either Bella's Song or Ripples in the Pond. Joe is going to (try to) make this work.

Namaste,
Tim

Your words "devastated and captivated by your positive attitude" describe exactly how I feel about you. I hope you have the chance to speak and sing at the seminar.

  2. Wow I can´t believe that it has been a month. I like so many others that comment miss Bella.

Last night I was sitting with my 4 year old son and I asked him if he wanted to see Disneyland and of course he did (one day we will get there). We were looking at the pictures and one came up of Ali in here Belle gown...Of course Nico sees it and says "look it is Bella"...I stopped a second, thought about Bella and your song you wrote for her. Since we are in Spain Nico was speaking Spanish and like you say your name means Beauty. I felt a little disappointed and explained to him that this little girl was Ali and in English the princess is Belle. Later I thought you know it is just showing us that Bella is everywhere. Loved the pictures by the way.

I hope you get a chance to perform and talk to some great people.

  4. Sorry I didn't comment yesterday...I've been a busy lady!

Sounds like you guys had a good day at Disneyland. I haven't been since Malorie was about 5 months old. We need to go again. :0)

Sounds like you had a great day at the meeting. Hopefully you can use your connections to raise lots of money for EB!! What a great legacy Bella has left behind. I can't believe it's been a month already. She has taught me and inspired me in so many ways and you continue to teach and inspire me as well. Thank you for that.

    Lots of Love,
Amber, Craig, Malorie(2 1/2), and Liam (10 mos.)

  6. I can't believe its been a month. My heart still aches when I think about Bella. I can't wait to hear about Sunday and all about the memorial, and I can't wait to see it. I wish we could be there, because it will be beautiful, just like it was in Minnesota. We will wear our lavender and Cory will obviously wear Bella's fabulous socks. We miss you guys!

    God Bless,

  7. Upon watching the video of Bellas MN memorial, i could maintain a pretty decent composture until you sang "Ripples in the pond". This is a BEAUTIFUL song with the most beautiful words.

I've been extra sweet to my boyfriend (he's 60, I 42, it's not like we are that very young anymore, and were wasting our precious time together with silly confrontations lately) for weeks now, and he is wondering why this change of attitude. I don't tell him, because he would find it very weird, but you know what?:

    It is because of Bella.

You and your family have inspired many to see life from a different angle, i feel i want to be a better person now, and i will keep on reading and remembering Bella:

i don't ever want to forget the gift Bella has given me.

I'm in tears as i write this.

    Forever thankful
    juana
