I am glad you are taking some time for you...you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to take a moment to let you know that since I watched the memorial and did the meditation I picture Bella in a very specific way. In the meditation he told us we could give her something. I gave her a gold butterfly necklace and now in my head when I picture her I always see her with the necklace on.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Sending my love to all and sweet kisses to Ali.

So great talking with you in Cleveland! I too am resting tonight. These verses came to mind after reading some of your blog:
ReplyDeleteThe LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23.
Your picture tonight reminded me of a story from my day.. I was telling a client who was apologizing for being overly emotional about her daughter's behavior problems that I understood completely.. just the other day I was driving and I pulled into a school parking lot and saw in my rear view mirror a father playfully chasing his toddler son down the side walk and burst into tears. I had this image of my husband chasing our future child, and it's more than I can bear since we are trying to get pregnant. Seeing your arms (I'm assuming that is you in the picture above) protectively wrapped around her brought a similar image to mind, and then I pictured the rest playing out of us like they did you and Bella... and while I know we would be heart broken, I also know that this life is about something so much more... and there is love out there still to come that will blow my mind. So, I can fear having children because i might lose them or I can take you as an example and bravely go out there with a smile on my face ready for whatever I get. I tell ya, honestly, most days I'd rather hide under the covers, but instead, I make myself get up and play. Thank you for always reminding me why it's worth making the hard choices- the payoff is so great we can't even imagine it.
